Everyone loves a comfy and cute set of pajamas. Nothing is better than a cool and calm bed time routine for baby to get some restorative Z's.
Bamboo pajamas are a beloved and sustainable choice for sleepwear. Not only are they extremely comfortable, but they also have many benefits for the environment and most importantly your little ones health. How can we argue that?
So what is bamboo?
Bamboo is a perennial grass species and is one of the world's fastest growing plants. It grows fast - like really really fast. The plant can shoot up to 120 centimeters per day and reaches full maturity in a four year span (woah). There are over a thousand different species of bamboo growing throughout the world. Bamboo is a prolific and resilient plant that does not require fertilizer or pesticides to boost growth. You go bamboo!
When it comes to sleep wear there is no doubt bamboo is a no brainer for a number of reasons. So, here's ten:
While many applaud the smooth feel of cotton, it has nothing on bamboo honey. Thanks to the natural moisture-wicking properties of bamboo, the fabric is incredibly soft and pleasant to the touch. There's no doubt about it, bamboo is the creamiest and most flexible fabric around. Our pajamas are also super light weight. When you're little bestie slips these on, they will feel like they aren't wearing anything at all (try it out for yourself with our
matching adult pajama sets). That's partly because our pajamas are woven with "micro-gaps" in the fabric. This means they don't weigh nearly as much as cotton or linen. Say what?!

Bamboo fabric is naturally antibacterial. This means that is repels mold, mildew and other types of bacteria. Bamboo's antibacterial properties not only keep your baby feeling and smelling fresh, but it also aids in preventing the spread of diseases. The bamboo plant itself has a powerful anti-microbial agent called "bamboo kun". It's this natural resistance that allows bamboo to thrive in harsh conditions without the need for herbicides or pesticides. Still need convincing?

If your little one has sensitive skin or struggles with allergies, then these are the pajamas for you! Most children are allergic to one thing or another these days and for this reason our hypoallergenic fabric is here to save the day. It helps keep those pesky allergies at bay. It also prevents rashes and breakouts for those with delicate skin. Our pajamas have been certified with the
National Eczema Association. When your kids wear our pajamas, you are giving them an extra layer of protection against harmful elements in the environment around them. This includes microbes, bacteria and allergens (ew, gross).

Bamboo is one of the most breathable fabrics around. Our material is naturally porous, which means that air can flow through it easily. This is particularly helpful with overheating or night sweats. The breathable fabric helps keep your body cool. They will also help your baby have an easier time falling and staying asleep, no matter the weather. Check out our
breathable bamboo crib sheets to aid in a great nights sleep. Bamboo is superior to other fabrics due to the spaces between the individual fabric fibers, allowing for greater moisture absorption while at the same time allowing more air ventilation through the fabric.

Bamboo is extremely absorbent, but instead of soaking up sweat it does the opposite. The fabric wicks moisture away from the body 3-4 times faster than cotton (no way). Bamboo fibers are both hydrophobic and hydrophylic meaning that it is alternatively attracted to and not attracted to water. Let me break this down... The cohesive force of water along these fibers make the water molecules attracted to each other along the strands, which pulls the moisture up along them and away from the skin. Science... am I right?

Unlike synthetic fabrics, bamboo fabric is made from natural fibers. Bamboo fabric does not need to be treated with any chemical finishes, so no synthetics are released into the environment. The plant is a natural and renewable resource. It is capable of rapid growth which can avoid future deforestation. Bamboo is 100% biodegradable and can easily be regenerated. Bamboo self-regenerates from its own root system, so there is no need to replant it. It's like it has regeneration superpowers! Bamboo is not only good for the planet, but it's also good for humanity.

Bamboo fabric is incredibly strong and durable. It can withstand pressure and does not tear easily. Our
pajama sets don't stretch or shrink and don't degrade in quality no matter how many times your little one sleeps in them. Our bamboo fabric is made from the bamboo fibers taken directly from bamboo shoots. Naturally processed bamboo fabric does not involve such harsh ingredients and so the resulting fabric retains its inherent strength.
Unlike cotton pajamas that may get stinky after one hot night (you know what I'm talking about), bamboo stays fresh for so much longer. Because bamboo is absorbent, it is able to wick away moisture effectively. In turn, it allows it to be odor resistant. Bamboo has antibacterial properties, which means it can resist the growth of bacteria and fungus that can nest in the fibers and cause odor over time. So your little love can stay fresh as a daisy a little longer.
Bamboo fabric has antimicrobial properties, meaning it stays fresher longer. You are basically wrapping your baby up with a natural agent that wards off harmful microbes. Cool, huh? Bamboo fabric is remarkably easy to care for. Just wash on cold and tumble dry. No muss no fuss.
